Last week, Central Crane Technicians were very proud to handover this new FASSI F135A.0.21 ‘e-active’ crane to Towcester Building Supplies.
Towcester Building Supplies (TBS) are, as the name suggests, a building supplies merchant with 2 stores in Daventry and Towcester. Adding to a fleet that already contains a FASSI crane supplied by CCT, the rear mounted F135A.0.21 ‘e-active’ was fitted to a brand new 18T DAF LF chassis cab supplied by Brian Currie DAF (Milton Keynes) and was specified with both radio remote control and a new Kinshofer KM331 brick grab package.
This build also included the brand new CCT design – a fixed walkway system to the rear, allowing safe and easy access to the loading area when required.
Simon Bullock, Transport Manager for TBS, had the following to say at the handover of the crane: ‘This is our second FASSI crane so far - we were very impressed by the first one. What we like is how it’s very customisable, it’s very intuitive, it almost thinks for itself and we’re very happy with it. We’ll be lifting absolutely everything to do with building supplies with this crane and it’s a bit more powerful than we’ve had so it will be good to see it in use”.
